Precision Machines

We supply a great number of standard and customised AC and DC geared units to manufacturers of precision machinery. For example, rigs designed to test products for tensile, compression and flexural strength up to several kilo-Newtons requires a motor-gearbox unit with sufficient strength to outlast the product under test; and many computer numeric cutting (CNC) machines (such as mills and lathes) require both lateral motion and cutting/drilling geared-motor units.

In future we anticipate supplying many of our customers with new high efficiency planetary gearheads from our HP range which are well suited to precision applications, particularly those with compact space requirements. For a single stage reduction the range offers less than 20 arc-minutes of backlash (one third of a degree).
